26日晨，得知馬來西亞政府為保護珊瑚禁止了一些地方的浮潛和深潛，個人非常震驚。保護珊瑚，是每個游客的義務，相信大家都可以理解並支持。但針對涉及面如此廣泛、如此大規模的行動，事先不進行通知和提示，個人以為馬來西亞政府決定太過突然，不夠河蟹。本人預訂了八月初拉古娜的套餐，如不能潛泳豈不遺憾，故火速致函酒店，得到如下答復。因本人英文水平有限，僅供參考，不當之處，請達人修改。
Dear all, with regards to the new announcement by the Marine Park Department Director General Dato Abdul Jamal Mydin’s announcement today in the Star Newspaper titled as above, we have received numerous enquiries from our supporting agents and guests for the actual story of the announcement.
The latest details i have got so far from various sources are as follows:
酒店方面稱，目前得到的消息如下：
1. The announcement does not mean that all the diving or snorkelling spots are closed. We have another 20 other good spots for diving and also many other areas for snorkelling. Today our dive centre is still bring many guests for their dives.
1、政府禁止浮潛聲明並不意味著要關閉所有潛水或浮潛區域，當地還有20個優質的潛水和浮潛地點。今天，拉古娜酒店的潛水中心依然處於運營狀態。
2. The staff from the Marine Park at Pulau Pinang told me that at this moment, visitors can still go there for snorkelling and feed the fishes. Today we have brought out guests there to snorkel as usual. Tomorrow will be the same. They are still in the process to determine what is the actual status and will inform us officially soon.
2、海洋公園的工作人員聲稱，游客此刻依然可以來此浮潛或者喂魚。今天，拉古娜像往常一樣，已經將游客送去海洋公園進行浮潛。明天依然如此。海洋公園正在確定實際情況並將盡快正式通知拉古娜酒店。
3. The Pulau Redang Resorts Association has informed that they association will call for a meeting soon and will inform us officially the actual status soon.
3、熱浪島酒店協會通知，他們將盡快召集一個會議討論目前的情況，並將盡快正式通告酒店方面。
4. We are in support of the relevant authorities to control and conserve marine life in Pulau Redang. At the same time, we will ensure our guests will still get to snorkel or dive at other places during their stay with us. So there is no question of guest wanting to cancel their room reservations with Laguna. We will determine from time to time what are the places that we can go in the near future. Therefore, when questions are thrown to us, please explain the situation carefully and in detail to our guests so as not to put fear in them wanting to cancel their trips. We must put the situation into positive position that it is a good thing to conserve the marine life for long term.
4、拉古娜酒店完全支持相關部門控制保護海洋生物的決定，同時，酒店確保游客在停留期間可以在其他海域進行正常的浮潛和深潛活動。毫無疑問，游客會考慮取消赴拉古娜酒店的訂單。酒店方面也將時時確定不遠的將來哪些地方可以進行潛水活動。（以下一段似乎是酒店管理層對下屬員工說的）因此，當酒店方被問及這方面的問題，請謹慎詳細地解釋目前的情況，以防止恐慌造成的顧客退訂。酒店必須將形勢控制在有利於海洋生物長久保護的有利位置。
