在上海的印度領事館簽到三個月有效，一次入境的個人旅游簽證。雖然前輩們有不少游記在前，可是看到不少朋友還是提出這樣或那樣的問題，因此願意把所知和朋友們分享。
印度簽證非常容易。簽證員（2位年輕人，一男一女），檢查資料用時不超過5分鐘，包括——護照，照片3張，財產證明，往返機票，申請表2份（建議照片和申請表多備幾份，同時攜帶空白申請表，萬一打印的表有誤可以手填）。機票已出票，原件出示。財產證明只開到預計的旅程回國日後幾天（2萬元）。當時隨身還帶著戶口簿、身份證、所有在印度期間的交通確認（已訂好了各段機票和火車票），簽證員對這些東西視若不見，只要前述必需的五件。簽證員一邊核對申請表和文件，一邊隨口問幾個小問題，確認全部無誤後，即開單去外面櫃台付款。這樣的旅游簽證費用共331元，3個工作日後的下午4點－5點可以取。需要注意的是，印度領事館在印度的節假日會休息，而中國的假日可能上班，請注意詢問。
3日後，取到簽證。問過裡面的小姐，簽證費沒有發票可以提供。只有印度領事館抬頭的一張小小收據（英文）和簽證頁上標注的RMB 331可以作證明。
