How about your National holiday?Journey:This National holiday my family and I went to Cambodia. We visited Phnom penh that is the capital of Cambodia and Angkor which was ancient capital of Cambodia.
D1: We flew to shenzheng, from Hongkong flew to Cambodia.
D2: Visiting Phnom penh, royal palace, indenpent tower,and a temple. We went to Siem Reap,Angkor, by bus six hours this afternoon. The road looked like county road in China, but it was a best one in Cambodia.
D3: D4: visited Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat and many ancient site,Bayon,
D5: came back Phnom penh, Afternoon we visited the center market and a casinos. Later we flew to Hongkong, then lived in hotal of Shenzheng.
The Cambodia is a small and Less Developed Country which has a land area one hundred eight thousand square kilometer and more thirteen million population. It is located southeast of Asia, near by Vietnam, Thailand and Laos. Their religion is Hinayana. The Angkor Wat is a world’s renowned ancient temple. Combodia currency is riel, but US dollar is also used. One yang RMB can change 450 riel, one dollar can change 4000 riel.
My 200 yang RMB was changed to ninty thousands riel. Oh, we were too rich, but when you buy a pomelo on the street side, you need to pay 3000 riel.
Officer ask tip that was I never met before. When we arrived Cambodia, my husband passed the Customs, the officer fingerd two and talked something to him, but he didn’t know what does the officer said. Later I knew that the officer ask him for two dollors as tip. When we left the country passed the Customs, an officer ask my husband give him two dollors in Chinese. As I gave him one dollor, he said thank in Chinese.
We visited the capital of Cambodia, phnom penh, roads was dirty and narrow, but the royal palace is beautiful, fair and magnificent. The king is His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni is the son of His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk, former King of Cambodia who is good friend of China and of Her Majesty Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk of Cambodia. We visited the throne Hall that This building is used for high official celebrations, coronations and audiences with foreign dignitaries and government officials. There was a silver pagoda nearby, its floor was covered silver blocks.
We also visited the wat phnom,which commemorated a grandma penh. As we walked down the hill, a few children of Cambodia who were five or six year old asked us for money. My daughters gave them 1000 riel per kid. But kids did leave and follow us asked money again. My daugthers also gave some money to disably men who lost their leg by land mine.
Angkor Wat is a temple complex near Siem Reap, built for King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. It is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation—first Hindu, dedicated to Vishnu, then Buddhist. The temples were high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country
