I have never waived to find its history, if my net friend Pre-Raphaelite read this diary, she will laugh at my unprofessional. But who can ignore these masterpieces that were buried in the hill? Far away from our life, wut we can remember them is some fragments, some part of their figure.Somehow, I waked up to write down the memory in my mind during these days. When I back form Longquan, the hometown of celadon, I can’t forget the vessels scooped from there. It corroborated my wish wut I wrote on the way, “It should be a magic tour of my lonely way, I hope I can find something worthwhile.”

There was a long history of celadon making in Longquan, affected by factors such as thought, culture and technology, products have dated by wares according to their modeling veins glaze and technology. There were two famous kilns in Longquan, one is Old Brother’s, the other is Young Brother’s. Old Brother’s Kiln produced celadon wares of black base with crack glaze. They added some special mineral when made base, maybe some ferric oxide. These additives could present purple after glazed and burned, and only limited the bottom and rim area of the wares. So it was called “purple mouth iron foot”. But Old Brother’s kiln is still a doubt, where is it exact location, and which is the existed dynasty? It doesn’t matter, coz the wares with the feature of Old Brother’s kiln is splendid enough to attract people’s attention.

And Yong Brother’s kiln made wares of white base with green glaze, with the processing developing, now we can appreciate a variety of green color. In Northern Song Dynasty, people pretend wares with carved flowers; in Southern Song Dynasty, modeling and glaze were paid special attention; in Yuan Dynasty, veins were appeared in wares and more and more flowers’ and animals’ shape were used; in Ming Dynasty, glaze has become thinner. We can notice a fracture, the glaze is thinner and sparkling.

So we can judge the waves’ dynasty with its shape and color of glaze, every art bears a marked brand of the times. Because all of them were made by people who lived in their currently times. I’m staring these alluring celadon, these green fairies. Why these beautiful wares born in the remote hill? Just like a female teenager, was locked in a relic. Can you hear her sigh?
