Examine the examWhen my classmates asked me whether I was going to take part in the professional 8 English test. I shrugged: ”I don’t think I can pass it. Besides, I don’t like exam.” Many people can make fully understand of my first reason, but for the second, few can figure out what’s buried deeply in my mind: I don’t want to be the martyr of exam.

We have been told to study hard and get high scares in any exam since our childhood. And we also know whether our study is good or not is totally expressed in our exam----the key to open the door of famous schools, including universities. Thus, it gives birth to Chinese education system: Exam-oriented education system. Thanks to this system, we have been instilled, from the first day we sit in front of the table, that score is important to us as God to his people. As the adherents of the examism, we have been trained how to fight in all kinds of jihad, how to follow the doctrines of examism gurus when we are confused, how to use gorilla philosophy to gain our goal according to different circumstances.

Meanwhile, everything in our life should be given way to our cult. Our parents support our practicing unconditionally. No matter how poor they are, or how badly the living standards they have, they will do whatever they can do to ensure a perfect studying aura for us. Our mentors, due to the historical responsibility, keep a sharp eye on our tiny sign of derail in case we are lost and coerce us to focus on our exercising. For they know, they have to be stone-hearted for the sake of our achievement. NO PAIN, NO GAIN is the maxim itched in our bone by their sweats. In return, we should devote ourselves to our lessons, not only for the hope of our parents and our mentors, but for ourselves, they said, in the long run. We are obliged to stick to the ten bars(sorry sir, I forget the word of 十戒): No other ism we should adore except examism; no other books we should read except the bible; no entertainment since it do no good to practicing; no personality because it’s sin in the public; no imagination should exist in this exam era; no alternative mind is allowed to appear in the peaceful society; no culture but cult occupies our purged souls; no hobby should be developed as long as it undermines the time of study; no rebellion can’t be excused when it threats the examism; no vivid spirit could be permitted without approval of the authority.

After more than 10 years of training, I see rows of robots roll out of the production lines of manufactories, surging up to all position of our society, becoming the loyal part of the human society machine. As the machine ratchets up, we act precisely like a clock without erring, for there’s no room for whim and no place for dream. Day after day, we model ourselves into the blots and nuts of the world. No one dare, and able, to doubt that we are not human beings but a machine with no mind, no soul, no imagination, no idea and no life. We can get the highest mark of the any exam but we can’t make a bench like Eeienstan did when he was a child; we can make get full scare in the toughest exam in of the world, say GRE, TOFEL, but few of us can understand Ulisice; the exam books become the most popular books in all university library, meanwhile the Four Greatest Novels have been lying dusted in the corner of bookshelf; we have seized numerous prize in all kinds of piano competition, but I never hear the any great piano music composed by them: for they just know how to play the piano without realizing what music is. Unfortunately, there’s no exam when the board of Nobel valuate the candidates. Otherwise, Chinese will preempt all the prizes, for which Chinese people have been dreaming for a long time.

Before ending this essay, I can’t not help yelling the poem composed by King Sperge:

我看見這時代的精英被無情地摧毀。。。。。。
